Vault 134, Adelaide
With Adelaide Fringe season in full swing and event fatigue on the rise, we wanted to offer something a little bit different from the usual learning and networking events that our members have come to know and love.
Recognising that previous Spence Club Board Member and Deputy Chair of the Board (and current Spence Club member), Libby Trainor-Parker was playing star of the show in Fringe Show Endo Days, we thought it'd be a perfect match for our members to switch off and unwind over some cabaret and comedy.
Whilst not exclusive to Spence Club, we invited our members to a Spence-supported showing of Endo Days at Vault 134, welcoming guests with a glass of wine on arrival.
The show put a comedic spin on endometriosis, the chronic illness that affects one in ten women in Australia (and the fact that it has an average diagnosis time of seven years!) through facts disguised as humour, and singalongs to hilarious 'endometriosis' renditions of some classic tunes from over the years.
Following the event, Spence members stuck around for some informal networking and chats with other members, as well as with Libby herself.
The first of many, we look forward to supporting more events like this in future and helping to provide additional value to our members.
