The Spence Club Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held on 22 October 2024, 5:00-7:30pm at the Wakefield Hotel, Adelaide CBD.
Ahead of this important members-only event, the Spence Club Board is asking our members for their vital support to vote in new Board Members and shape the future of the Club, prior to the AGM.
It's easy, we promise, and should only take a minute or two.
Why do we need our Members to vote?
According to our constitution, vacant Spence Club Board Director roles are to be appointed each year at the AGM by Member vote, and we have a number of roles to be filled in 2024.
We’ve received 8 outstanding applications from high achieving women who’ve put up their hands to be your new Board Members.
And we need to reach a voting quorum ahead of the AGM, either by Members casting their own votes, or by Members nominating a proxy to vote on their behalf at the AGM.
How can you help?
You have a few options to help, and they won’t take long at all (or cost anything!):
- Option 1 (3 mins + reading time): Access the voting form, read the applications we’ve received for new Board Members and select your own candidates.
- Option 2 (2 mins): Nominate a proxy (either the Chair or a Member who is attending the AGM) to cast a vote on your behalf using this form.
- Option 3 (1 min): Nominate your proxy by using the sentence below in an email to Spence Club (you just need to fill in the missing information): “I nominate [the Chair of the Spence Club Board] OR [the following Spence Club Member: (insert name)] who is attending the AGM to be my proxy. I confirm that I agree for my vote be exercised in the same manner as my proxy.”
We need your vote or proxy nomination by 3pm, Tuesday 22 October 2024, please, and we'll be so grateful for your time.
