Celebrate 125 Years of Suffrage at Spence Club’s Gala Event

September 23rd, 2019

Join us to celebrate how far we’ve come!

On Friday, October 4, Spence Club is hosting a gala dinner to mark 125 years since the women of South Australia gained the right to vote in elections and stand for Parliament.

Today, our voices are more crucial than ever as the state’s politicians debate laws governing issues such as surrogacy, sex work and abortion.

Fittingly, our keynote speaker for the night will be reproductive rights expert and historian Associate Professor Catherine Kevin.

Guests will also hear from SA’s engaging Equal Opportunity Commissioner Niki Vincent.

Tickets are open to non-members and selling fast! Click below for the booking link – and please share with friends, family or colleagues who might be interested in joining us for this special night!

By attending you’ll also be supporting Spence Club’s charity partner Essentials 4 Women SA, with the chance to take home your table centerpiece for a modest donation.
